Let The Vote Loose At The Booth_edited.jpg

"Let The Vote Loose In The Booth" was a poster that was designed for CBTU to get out the vote for the 2000 campaign cycle. The poster was distributed nationally and I was honored that it was placed in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History archives.

Anacostia Waterfront project materials.jpg

We prioritized community outreach in the Anacostia Waterfront Forum initiative. Our mission was to develop clear and informative materials that explained the implications of major development projects in the region. We helped local residents understand the impact of projects in their area.

Mandela HU tribute booklet cover_website_edited.jpg

In 2014, I had the incredible honor of collaborating with Howard University to create a memorial program booklet celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela. This event, held in Washington, DC, gathered individuals dedicated to commemorating Mandela’s legacy. The experience allowed me to craft a tribute that profoundly resonated with the audience. The project served as a heartfelt reminder of Mandela's contributions to equality and justice.

Joe Madison - The Black Eagle in studio.jpg

I met Joe Madison, "The Black Eagle" in 1997, when he was the top talkshow host on Radio One's flagship station WOL 1450AM. At the time Mr. Madison didn't have an official logo design and he was interested in having one done. After a consultation and reviewing my logos and design portfolio, I was chosen by Mr. Madison to create the iconic "The Black Eagle" logo. It was an honor to have worked with Joe Madison on various projects for over 20 years.

Another historical figure that I had the honor of doing a variety of design projects for was William "Bill" Lucy. He was one of the original founders, and the first president of the nation's largest Black trade union "The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). CBTU reached out to me in 2023 to design the "Lucy90" logo as part of the branded materials that were used for Mr. Lucy's 90th Birthday celebration. The 20 page tribute program was well received by all including William "Bill" Lucy.

WCCA annual report_cover_edited.jpg

In 1994, I received a call from Rose Matthews Consulting that was after operating hours that there was an important annual report that required my help. It was for the Washington Convention Center Authority and this document was to be a critical part of the sales pitch to get funding for a new bigger and better convention center in Washington, DC. I came up with a theme for the sales pitch titled "Milestones of Success". This report showcased various reasons why DC was deserving of a new facility.
